Mr. Freeman A. Moore, Jr. age 87, of Moody passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Talladega Healthcare Center. He was a retired airplane mechanic from Hayes International (Pemco). Freeman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be truly missed by all friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sara Moore of Moody and is survived by three sons, Richard D. Moore (Linda) of Fredericksburg VA, Freeman P. Moore of Lexington KY, and Joseph A. Moore of Alexandria VA; one daughter, Marsha D. Moore of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Heather L. Knight of Stafford VA and Richelle D. Moore (Rob) of Fredericksburg VA; three great grandchildren Owen Knight of Stafford VA, Reid Thompson Furner-Moore and Wiley Kate Furner-Moore of Fredericksburg VA; two sisters Francis Brown of Bradenton FL and Catherine Renfroe of Vienna GA and many nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6 beginning at 1:00 PM with Chapel services beginning at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Chris Burns, Bethel Baptist Church, Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family deeply appreciates the love and care given by the employees of Carlisle Restaurant in Moody and the Talladega Healthcare Center. In addition, sincere appreciation is given to our Dad's best friend, Floyd Adams, for all of his assistance during the past several years.
