Fred Yates LeMaster, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2016. A devoted husband, father and successful businessman, Fred was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 6, 1950. In 1977, he married the love of his life, Lou Ann (nee Vickers) LeMaster, and over the next 39 years they raised their family of three children - Fred working many 90 hour weeks to afford Lou Ann to be a stay-at-home Mom. Together, they raised their children in the church, starting at South Roebuck Baptist, where Fred instilled his strong faith and love of the Lord into his children. After 28 years working for Thompson Tractor, Fred started his own business, LeMaster Heavy Equipment, where he had much success until he retired due to illness. A fighter, Fred survived a battle with cancer, heart surgery and a kidney transplant from perfect-match Lou Ann. He enjoyed retirement with his family and spent a great deal of time traveling, camping and playing with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed traveling to Reykjavik, Iceland to visit family. Fred was welcomed into heaven by his granddaughter Sarin, parents Fred and Helen LeMaster, Arthur and Esther Vickers, and grandparents Cohen and Addie Judd LeMaster and Arthur and Doris Crockett. Fred continues to be celebrated in life by his wife, Lou Ann, daughters Kristianna Gonzalez (Chris) and Heather Bawcom (Jeremy), son Jonathan LeMaster (Kristin), and grandsons Kian (Gonzalez), Corbin (LeMaster), Matthew, Parker and James (Bawcom). Fred also leaves behind a son, Jeffrey LeMaster. Visitation services will be held Wednesday, September 7th, from 5-7pm, with a Memorial Service on Thursday, the 8th, at 12 noon, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens. 1591 Gadsden Highway in Trussville, AL.
