Fred Williams Byers, Sr

Fred William Byers, Sr., age 84, passed away on January 8, 2025. He was an active member of North Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Byers was retired from Jefferson County after 30 years. He loved doing woodworking and University of Alabama football. He loved to play sports throgh the years and played golf, baseball and was also an umpire.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mable and Fred Byers; sister, Shirley Ann Watley; brothers, Ronald Edward Byers, David Allen Byers, James Orel Byers; beloved niece, Nicole Hill Bradley. He is survived by his wife Betty Byers; son, Freddie Byers; brother, Joseph Dean Byers; sister, Patricia Green and several other loving family members and friends.

There will be a memorial service at the church on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 afternoon.
