Frank Waldrop

Frank C. Waldrop, age 86, was born on August 28, 1925 and passed away May 19, 2012. His life was his wife, his beloved daughter Glynda who he loved so very much, and 2 wonderful granddaughters. He served honorably in the US Navy in WWII in the South Pacific. He worked for 38 years at US Steel Sheet Mill and 25 years at Veitch Mechanic Shop. Mr. Waldrop was a lifelong member of a Masonic lodge. He was a great man of God, teaching Sunday school at Forest Hills Baptist, Fairfield Highlands Baptist, First Baptist Pleasant Grove, and First Baptist Trussville. Frank has been instrumental in changing lives for God's glory all his life. His life was dedicated to God's Word and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Maude Rogers Waldrop. Survivors include his wife, Gloria, who has been a dedicated and loving wife for 64 years; his daughter, Glynda Bailey (Jerry); grandchildren, Deana Hemphill (Neal) & Ashley Trammell (Adam); great-grandchildren, Taylor Hemphill, Bailey Hemphill, Brady Trammell, Jordyn Trammell and Camdyn Trammell; brother, W.C. Waldrop (Louise). A special thank you to Neal Hemphill and Jerry Bailey who spent many nights by his side so he wouldn't ever have to be alone, as well to Ingrid Thompson for the love and special attention she gave that meant so much to Daddy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00PM - 2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 2:00PM in the chapel. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Brother T.A.
