Frances Sims

August 29, 1933 — April 29, 2024

Frances Sue (Lee) Sims went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, April 29, 2024. Frances was 90 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Franklin Delano Sims, the love of her life, and four precious daughters, Kathy Lu (Douglas) Rambeck, Lorelei Frances Schmid, Jo Elaine Sims, and Sue Evelyn (Michael) Fattibene. 7 Grandchildren: Jodie (Kevin) Patrick, Jessica (Brian) Kinney, Nathan (Ashley) Rambeck, Katie (Tyler) Niederwerder, Bethany Rambeck, Alexis Laymon, and Zachary Fattibene. 9 Great-grandchildren: Mark (Cate) Patrick, Aiden Kinney, Shayen Kinney, Garrett Kinney, Blair Rambeck, Becket Rambeck, Brennan Rambeck, Carson Niederwerder, and Piper Niederwerder. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Everett and Mattie Lee, four brothers and two sister, and her son-in-law, Michael Schmid.

Frances was a devout Christian and a member of Pelham First Baptist Church. She felt that God called her to be a Pastor's wife during a Summer Youth Camp! She married Frank in 1952. When Frank surrendered his life to God's calling to serve his Lord as a Pastor, Frances knew her calling to be a Pastor's wife was then fulfilled. She became a beloved partner in the ministry who worked with and supported her husband throughout their 65+ years of serving their Lord.

Frances was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother to four wonderful children, and an adoring grandmother. She also served her Lord by witnessing and leading people to Jesus. She was a mentor, encourager, prayer warrior, church member, church secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and teacher of multiple women's prayer groups.

Frances was both a member of the Master's Sunday School Class and Women's Missionary Union (WMU) of Pelham First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord Jesus with her whole heart and was anxiously awaiting the day she would be with Him!
