Frances Patty

FRANCES EVELYN COCHRAN PATTY of Trussville, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville at 11:00 on Saturday, August 8, 2020. The Reverend Ted Leach will be officiating.

Frances was born on January 10, 1933 to Albert Conley Cochran and Lillian Juanita Davis Cochran of Bakersfield, CA.  She married Jerry Leonard Patty on January 27, 1954.  Frances was a homemaker who was also a gifted artist and musician.  She was the long time pianist for Gate City Baptist Church in Birmingham as well as at Lake Highland Baptist Church. She was also an active member of the Cahawba Art Club.  Frances worked part-time for Birmingham City Schools and ended her career as an in-home care giver after receiving her associate’s degree from Jefferson State Community College.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry.  Survivors include: her sister Lila Juanita Cochran Sellers of Marysville, CA, her sons Norman Keith Patty (Janey), Donald Richard Patty, and James Albert Patty (Rose).  Frances is also survived by grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashmore Patty McInnis (Clint), Emily Forbes Patty Corwin (Caleb), Amanda Leigh Riley (Brian), James Albert Patty, Jr. (Laura), Regina Lee Swartz, Rick Hart, Jr., great-grandchildren: Aubree Kate McInnis, Cooper Keen McInnis, Edwyn Keith McInnis, Eliza James Corwin, Davis Kephart Corwin, Madison Avery Riley, Carter Ellis Riley, Brooks Jase Patty, Lane Bennett Patty, Reese Virginia Patty, Kelton Scott Hart (Kennedy), Megan Marie Swartz and great-great grandchildren: Easton Lane Hart, Khloie Raelynn Hart, and Emery Grace Hart.
