Frances Greene

W. Frances Travis Greene - 86 of Springville, Alabama passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017 after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Byron W. Travis and Effie (Lee) Travis, brother, Byron W. (Dick) Travis and sister, Betty J. (Travis) Shufflebarger. She is survived by her loving husband, John, niece, Frances Rebecca Shufflebarger (Jerry) Cusimano, countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 29, 1930 and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1949. She married her husband, John on March 22, 1958. She had many gifts; Sunday school teacher, seamstress, homemaker and her never ending love for animals. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and baking. Best coconut cake in the world she will be truly missed by all. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday at 12 PM in the chapel and the burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
