Floyd Reeder Lisby, age 85, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. Reeder was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Birmingham. He retired from Birmingham News after nearly 40 years of service as a pressman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wives, Ened Springer Lisby and Maggie Stanley Lisby. Reeder is survived by his wife, Mitzi Lisby; daughters, Beth Lisby Smith (Phillip) and Susan Teasley Jones (Paul); sons, Mark Stephen Lisby (Lynn) and Jeffery Alan Lisby; four grandchildren: Tara Lisby Harris (Paul), Stephanie Holmes Fuqua, Jennifer Holmes and Andie McMichael Miles (Nathan); eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Pastor Barbara Mosley is officiating. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville directing.
