Faye Ready

Faye Imogene Gamble Ready, age 99 of Birmingham, AL passed away on July 22, 2021. She was born on October 11, 1921 to the parents of Anderson Eugene Gamble and Mary Bertha Haynes Gamble in Pine Mountain, AL. She attended Woodlawn High School. At 19 she married the love of her life, Marcus Hardin Ready on August 16th 1940. They spent 58 years as the team of husband and wife. She cherished their marriage and the years they shared together. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Bruce Gamble. She also was a wonderful mother to her two children, Duane M. Ready (Janice) of Crystal River, FL and daughter, Janice Ready Vaughn (Denty) of Springville, AL. She loved her grandchildren, Jeffery Ready, Scott Ready, Ginger V. Bullington and Paul Vaughn. She had seven great grandchildren she cherished. She had many nieces and nephews she cared dearly for. She was also survived by her sister, Helen Ruth Gamble O’Barr of Birmingham, AL. She was a friend to everyone she met. She had love of life. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and caring for friends and family. She was an amazing letter writer and Aunt. A special thanks to her care givers, who loved her like she was their family member and endeared themselves to she and her family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the King's Ranch Springville, AL or the Children's Cancer Fund in Mrs. Ready's honor.
