Sonny Gilmore of Birmingham Alabama passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Family and Friends are welcome to Sonny's home Friday, May 18th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm to share their favorite memories of Sonny. A graveside service will be at Pleasant Mount Cemetery on Saturday, May 19th at 11:00 am. Sonny is survived by his daughter Vicki Churchill, daughter Cindi Glenn (Scott), son, Milton Gilmore (Laura), grandson David (Sarah Corinne) & Will Glenn, D.J. Hamilton, granddaughter Megan Bush (A.J.), great grandchildren Skylar & Levi Bush. Sonny is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Gilmore, brother, Bobby Gilmore, parents Mary Sue and John Gilmore. Sonny enjoyed his life playing golf at Grayson Valley Country Club and fishing. He also enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels with his wife, Joyce. Sonny was a retired Alabama Power accountant. The family is thankful for his wonderful neighbors and friends that kept him company since Joyce's death. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Meals On Wheels, P. O.
