Everett P. Vann, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 11, 2017, after a long and brave battle with cancer. His courage was inspirational. Everett was a veteran of the US Navy. After his service, he continued to work as a Quality Engineer for the military and the private sector worldwide. Everett was a Post 171 American Legionnaire, a member of the Trussville Riders Harley Davidson HOG, the Alabama Patriot Guard Riders, the National Hockey League Booster Club and the National Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, all of which he was actively involved and brother to all. We will forever cherish his memory and he will forever remain in our hearts. Everett was preceded in death by his father, Everett P. Vann, Sr. and mother, Patricia Ann Vann. He is survived by his sisters, Linda white (Jeff) and Margaret Baker; niece, Stephanie Baker and a multitude of friends and family throughout the world. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Friday at 10 AM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery at 1:15 PM. Rev. Richard Hamby will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Everett P. Vann, Jr. at the Midsouth Division of the American Cancer Society. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
