Evelyn Redd

Evelyn Neel Redd, 86, of Pinson, AL passed away on November 3, 2008 in Marietta, Georgia where she had been living since 2007 at Elmcroft Assist Living. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Reginald and is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Herring, son-in-law, Lee Herring, grandson, Todd Herring, grandson and his wife, Daniel and Shannon Herring and one great granddaughter, Eden, all of Marietta, Georgia, brother, Alan Neel of Blountsville, Alabama and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Jean Redd. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Evelyn was long time member of Pinson Baptist Church and was retired from Jefferson State College. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 12:00 PM with the Pastor David C. Awtery officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Highway US 11, Birmingham, Alabama.
