Evelyn Jessen

Evelyn Brinson Jessen (Nanaw) born June 27, 1924 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Jessen, with whom she shared her life with for 56 years; parents, James and Maggie Brinson; sister, Sandra Brinson. She is survived by her siblings: Marilyn Watts (of Paducah, KY), Hal Brinson, Gerry Graham, Jeanette LeCroy, Annette Cox (all of Charleston, SC), and Bob Brinson (of Ozone Park, NY). Sons, Harold Jessen (Beth), Jimmy Jessen (Carolyn), Anthony Jessen (Doris) and Rodney Jessen (Tammy) all of Birmingham AL. Daughter-in-law, Martha Jessen of Birmingham AL; grandchildren, Lori Wilkinson (Scott), Jeff Jessen, Greg Jessen (Jill), Eric Jessen (Shannon) and Josh Park (Tamara) all of Birmingham AL; 7 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Huffman, AL. She enjoyed telling stories and spending time with her family. She is loved dearly and will be missed by many. Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2009 with burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
