Evelene Rowe

Evelyn Rowe, born Evelyn Horsely on January 13, 1935, in Birmingham, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2024, in Trussville, Alabama, at the age of 89. She is survived by her loving children Fran Hill, Princess Smith, Wanda Waugh, Steve Rowe, Tracy Rowe, sister Elnora Horsely, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband William Howard Rowe, father Monroe Horsely, mother Ollie Carrol Horsely, and aunt Cora Carrol.

Evelyn was a vibrant soul who cherished her family dearly.

She was known for her free spirit and love for fun, especially in her younger years when she enjoyed fun filled outings.

In her later years, she found joy in hosting family Christmas parties, sitting on her back porch, and spending quality time with her loved ones. You could often find her with a coke in her hand. Her loyal companion, Sparky, her dog, was always by her side. She was also a member of the Good News Assembly of God in Robinhood for many years.

A visitation to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, AL, on Monday, March 26, 2024, between 1:00 P.M & 2:00 P.M. with funeral services following at 2:00 PM.

Evelyn's legacy of love and joy will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but always remembered for the spark she brought into their lives.
