Ethel Lowery

Ethel P. Lowery, age 94 of Birmingham, AL passed away on January 22, 2017. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of Concordia where she served as president and treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also served in the Ladies Auxiliary with the Elks Lodge # 79. She was involved with several different dance clubs. She lived in the Huffman area for sixty years and has lived at Danberry Independent Living Center for the past four years where she as acquired many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John W. Lowery, Jr. and her daughter, Sandra Mostellar. She is survived by her son, John W. Lowery, III.; daughter, Margo Jeffery (Stan); grandchildren, Tanya Durant (Tripp), John W. Lowery, IV(Wendy), Jan Butler (Lee), Michael Mostellar, Wendy Covitz (Hunter) and Beau Lowery; great grandchildren, Jackson Durant, Chloe Lowery, Quinlan and Stellan Butler and Hailey Covitz. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Funeral mass will begin at 11 AM. The burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Father Andy Kennedy will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
