Emmett Gough

Emmet L. Gough, Jr., age 71, of Pinson, passed away on October 7, 2017. He was a member of Pinson United Methodist Church and was employed with Alabama Power for 45 years. He also coached girls' softball and basketball in the Pinson Community for many years. Mr. Gough was preceded in death by his parents, Lurleen and Emmett Gough, Sr.; and his brother Michael Gough. He is survived by his wife, Anita B. Gough; his children, Gail Gough Hodge (Scott), Jim Gough (Linda), Bethany Valdez (Bruce); his grandchildren, Jordan L. Hodge (Kayla), Dylan G. Hodge, B. Baker Hodge, Gavin M. Hodge, Blakely M. Valdez, M. Braden Valdez; his great-grandchild, Avner L. Hodge; his sister, Lynn Gough Stark (Ted); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, from 12-2pm at Pinson United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2 pm at the Church.
