E. Frances (Bishop) Scott

E. Frances (Bishop) Scott, age 85, of Birmingham, AL passed away peacefully on, December 22, 2023.  She was born to Huey and Irene Bishop on December 19, 1938, in Glenn Allen, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents; Huey and Irene Bishiop; daughter, Jan Renee’ Scott; brother, Jerry Bishop.  Frances leaves behind her loving husband of 67 years, as of December 22, 2023, Jerry Miles Scott; two sons, James Howard Scott (Diane) and Jerry Michael Scott (Victoria); brother, Wayne Bishop (Shirley); grandchildren, Michelle Scott, Justin Scott, Lilly Scott, Meredith Scott, Miles Scott.  

Frances loved spending time with her family and had a true passion for sewing. She made suits for her husband Jerry and kept the rest of the family looking their best in her personal creations. Frances also had a talent for cooking, one of the many traits we will miss.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with a chapel service in her honor to follow.  The burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery.
