Emma Baker

Jean Baker, age 80, passed away June 9, 2015. She was a native of Cullman County and had been a Birmingham resident since 1962. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where she was an active member of the church and choir. She was preceded in death by her husband R.C. Dean (1975) and Jack Baker (2005), daughter Ginger Smith, son Roger Dean, granddaughter Katherine Smith and sister Joyce Scott. Survived by her daughter Pamela Smith (Mark), son-n-law Michael Smith and daughter-n-law Lynn Dean, grandchildren Bret Smith (Stephanie), Kassandra Smith (Alton), Elias Smith (Lindsay), Ashley Patterson and Tyson Dean; 6 great-grandchildren Tully Smith, Mallory Smith, Zoie Smith, Avram Patterson, Gage Smith and Ember Smith; 2 sisters Syble Cargo and Rita Blackwood and close family, step children and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Mike Johnson and Rev. Mark Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the church. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
