Elizabeth Simpson

Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson, 89, of Trussville, passed away on October 9, 2016. She was born on April 10, 1927 to the late Robert and Mary Caldwell in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Simpson was a devoted member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a loving, sweet, and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, George Caldwell. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Simpson, daughters, Carol Marconi (Pete) and Diane Graham, sons, Alan Simpson (Selina) and David Simpson, grandchildren, Aaron Gwin, Adam Marconi (Lauren), Andrea Ludwig (Hank), Brandon Simpson, Clay Simpson (Erin), and 6 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
