Elizabeth B. Elsberry, age 90, passed away February 6, 2012. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on November 16, 1921. She lived most of her life in Tarrant, and was a member of Boyles Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Cecil W. Elsberry, her parents Eddie E. and Eva Branham, and brothers Ernest, Don, Lee and Richard Branham. She is survived by her daughter Judy E. Duncan (Jack), son David A. Elsberry (Ree), and daughter Jan E. Elsberry and three grandchildren Lyn Duncan Knopf (Chris), Caroline Elsberry Wheeler (Greg) and Lt JG Allan Elsberry; three great grandchildren Duncan Knopf, Evey Knopf and Richmond Wheeler; brother Edward C. Branham (Dottie); sisters Jean McChesney (Phil) and Mariannne Smith (Stan) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Elsberry was a loving mother and homemaker, graduated from Jefferson County High School, worked for a number of years at Hayes Aircraft and was a past member of Vestavia and Gardendale Art Associations. Graveside services will be Thursday, Feb 9, at 1pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 12pm until 1pm Thursday.
