Edwina Lambert Feltman died peacefully in her sleep November 2, 2014 after an extended struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Edwina had come into the world as the New Year's Baby of Birmingham, Alabama, January 1, 1944 and she was a talented and resourceful human being her whole life. For many years Edwina taught Sunday School and was a faithful member of Centercrest Baptist Church. Her interests included history, green Wedgewood, recovering furniture, selling real estate and the on-going eternal question of "What am I going to do about my hair?"
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Benny Feltman, daughter Amy Feltman, son Andrew Feltman (Elizabeth), grandson Andrew Feltman, sister, Irene Henley (Wallace) and brother, Edwin E. Lambert, Jr. (Susanne). Edwina is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and family members. She is predeceased by parents, Edwin E. Lambert, Sr. and Lucille Andrews Lambert.
Edwina has been missed for many years, yet we are joyful that at last she is no longer bound by illness. Edwina is free and has awakened to a new day.
Funeral service will be held at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville, AL., Tuesday, November 4th at 2:00, with visitation 1:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Alabama Chapter. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
