Edwin Swartz

Edwin J. Swartz, age 91, was born in Cleveland, TN, and passed away in Birmingham, AL on March 15, 2021. He was a member of Cahaba Springs Presbyterian Church and was a Lay Minister. He had retired from Eaton Corporation and was employed with HGM Liftparts. He had attended Tennessee Tech University and served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Billie Rhea Swartz; and his parents, Theodore and Dorothy Swartz. He is survived by his children, Edwin Swartz, Jr. (Brenda), Steve Swartz (Bea), Leslie Shultz (Scott); his grandchildren, Michele Manning (Kevin), Ted Swartz (Brittany), Ben Swartz (Whitney), Melissa Jones (Dave), Scott Shultz (Chablis), Joseph Shultz (Nichole); his great-grandchildren, Emma, Maren, Claire, Grant, Marigold, Pierce, Aldyn, Kyrie, Wilder, Barrett, Saylor, and Theo. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021, at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
