Edward Murdock, Sr

Edward Ross Murdock, Sr., age 86 0f Birmingham, AL passed away on December 22, 2016. He was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1951. He played football for Woodlawn High School and Howard College and was an avid Alabama Fan. He enjoyed attending the Center Point Senior Citizen Center. For many years he loved to cook especially a big Sunday dinner for his family. However his greatest pride and joy was spending time with his beautiful granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lucille Murdock, son, Ross Murdock and his brother, Charles Murdock. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Kaletski (Mark); brother, Dr. James Murdock; granddaughters, Grace (David Maisel), Rachel (Fridrik Vidarsson), Susanna, Meagan and Meredith Kaletski. Services will be on Monday, December 26, 2016 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. The burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Dr. Ed Rosser will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
