Edna Adams Smith, 91, entered her eternal heavenly home on November 28, 2020. She was born July 8, 1929 in Birmingham, Al. to Lonnie and Pearl Adams. Edna attended Phillips High School in Birmingham. She retired after many years with the Jefferson County Board of Education where she served as a cafeteria worker. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling in her motor home and being an avid bird watcher. Edna also spent her spare time as a member of a central Alabama Square Dance Club. She was happiest in her kitchen cooking fabulous meals for her family. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Bill Smith, 3 brothers, W.A. Adams, Raymond Adams, and Jim Adams, 1 sister, Joy Owen, daughter Paige Speer Turner, and grandson, Mark Speer. Survivors include son, Ocie W. Speer (Wanda) of Columbiana and granddaughter Heather Turner of Birmingham. In light of Covid 19, there will be a private burial at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville, Al. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Mt. View Lake Retirement Village, Sylacauga, Al. for the loving care that they have shown our loved one for the past three years.
