Dorothy Thompson

Mrs. Dorothy Thompson, 78, of Talladega, passed away on December 4, 2020. She was a devoted member of Heritage Place Church of Christ. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She found great joy in her family and serving others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Coy Edwin Purkey and Jean Marie Bradley Purkey; her brother William Garland Purkey; and husband Gary Lee Thompson, Sr. She is survived by her children, Peggy Thompson Eason (John), Tina Thompson Crocker (Troy), Gary Lee Thompson, Jr. (Jessica), and Michael Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Chris Patterson (Alan); brother, Ed Purkey; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, at 1pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
