Dorothy Thompson

Dorothy H. Thompson, age 83 of Birmingham, formerly of Haleyville, passed away on March 23, 2012. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Kelly-Ingram VFW. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will & Bessie Hulsey, as well as by her siblings, Irene, Mary Ruth, Peggy and Eugene. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl Thompson; daughter, Linda Applebaum; grandsons, Jeremy Applebaum (Virginia) and Matthew Applebaum; great-granddaughter, Hannah Applebaum; and by her brothers, Jimmy, Frank, Earl and Donald Hulsey. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 3:00PM from the graveside at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
