DOROTHY DEAN SALTER THOMAS

Dorothy "Dot" Thomas, age 84, passed away at her home on September 6, 2014. She was born in Pleasant Grove and graduated Hueytown High School in 1948. Dot was a long time member of Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church in the Bluff Park community. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Vera Salter, brother Harold Salter, and her husband Bill Thomas. Dot is survived by her children Eddie (Betty Ann)and Alicia (John Maddox), and three grandchildren Brooke Stine, Jennifer Thomas, and Shane Thomas. Visitation will be Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville from 5 until 7. Service will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at noon at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville.
