Roller, Dorothy Jean Cole, age 72, passed away on October 2, 2023. Mrs. Roller was born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 28, 1951, daughter of (Ret.) Cmdr. Robert A. Cole and Virginia A. Cole.
Mrs. Roller was a telephone operator in her younger years where she met the love of her life, a fellow telephone man, Thomas Roller. They married and settled into a beautiful life together in Pinedale Shores, Ashville, Alabama.
Dottie served with the Pinedale Shores Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. She was quick-witted, selfless and had a beautiful singing voice.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Julie (Tim) Humphrey; granddaughter, Brittany (Brett) Page; great-grandchildren, Krislyn Ella, Ayden, Jaron and Jaxon; brother, Robert E. (Kathleen) Cole, sister, Sandra (Michael) O'Rourke, sisters-in-law, Peggy Horner Tribble, Patricia Roller, Neddie Roller, Teresa Cole and a host of nieces and nephews.
After 50 years of marriage, Tommy and Dottie are together again and will be laid to rest in a joint graveside service at Jefferson Memorial, Field of Honor, on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Chaplain will be John (Jay) Benefield.
