Dorothy Harris

Dorothy Adcock Harris, 86 passed away peacefully on December 6, 2013. Born in Birmingham, AL she graduated from Woodlawn High School. She worked as a comptroller at A&P and the Birmingham Board of Education during her career. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, George as well as her parents Nora and John Adcock and her 6 siblings, George, Mary Bullock, Rob, Johnny, Don and her sister & best friend Betty Jo Gustin. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Donna Penn (Paul) and Janet Brock (Scott) and 3 grandchildren, Katie, Michelle and Daniel Penn. She also leaves behind many nieces & nephews that she loved dearly. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff & caregivers at The Oaks on Parkwood. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, AL on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 1:00PM to 2:00. The Memorial Service begins at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service.
