Doris Hosey

Hosey, Doris Renee, age 56 left this life December 30, 2009 to reunite with her mother in Heaven. They are together with Jesus forever. Renee graduated from Montevallo College with a degree in Physical Education. Renee enjoyed life even with all of her physical disabilities. She always had a smile for everyone. She loved to travel and visit with members of her family. Renee was a big fan of country music, her favorite artist were Dolly Parton and Alan Jackson. Most of all, Renee loved worshipping at Hunter Street Baptist Church where she was a member and especially enjoyed the fellowship of her Sunday School Class "The Cornerstone Class". Renee is preceded in death by her loving mother Earline Hill Hosey, her maternal grandparents Lorene and Luther Hill; Mr. & Mrs. Felston Hosey. Survivors include her father Edward Hosey, one sister, Kris Rodgers, niece Jasmine Pena (George), nephew Jerry Rodgers, one uncle Ray Hill (Diane), aunts Jewell Hayes, Doris Sims (Wayne) and Ann Duke (Leslie). Visitation will be from 10:00 AM i�½" 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Barry Daniel officiating. Internment in the Last Supper Mausoleum in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Renee's name to The Comprehensive Cancer Research Center at UAB or to your favorite cancer research group.
