Doris Blevons

Doris Blevons, age 89, of Trussville, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Doris retired from the Social Security Administration Office after several years of service. She was a member of Trussville United Methodist Church where she once served as the Director of Recreation. She enjoyed working with the churches youth. Doris had a big heart that she devoted to a younger generation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson Waldrop & Francis Caldwell Waldrop; three sisters & four brothers. Doris is survived by her loving sons, Michael Blevons (Kris) & Rick Blevons; one granddaughter, Corinna Carver; two great grandsons, & numerous nieces & nephews. A graveside service for Doris will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville. The visitation will be held one hour prior at Jefferson memorial Funeral Home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please send donations to a charity of your choice.
