An amazing landscape designer and interior decorator, she always made sure her home resembled the pages of Architectural Digest. She loved animals, taking care of all she could both wild and domestic. Her proudest accomplishment and love of her life, however was her family. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Crumpton and Lola Hathcock Crumpton. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lonkert; daughter, Robin Lonkert Scott (Robbie); son, Shane Lonkert (Rebecca); grandchildren, Ellen and Jacob Scott and Taylor and Caris Lonkert, and her sister, Karen Crumpton Tubbs. A private family memorial was held per Donna's request. In lieu of flowers, it was always Donna's wish that donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in her honor.
