Donald Smith

Donald Eugene Smith, born July 20, 1943 to the late Harvey Graham Smith and Paulina Helen Morris Smith in El Reno, Oklahoma, passed away on January 28, 2012 in Birmingham, Alabama. Don graduated from Yukon High School in 1961; he went on to graduate from The University of Central Oklahoma in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Business and also from Texas A&M University Commerce in 1977 with a Masters of Business Administration Marketing (MBA) degree. He was the CEO/President and Founder of Donald E. Smith Associates, Inc. He was a charter member of Clearbranch United Methodist Church in Trussville, AL. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Survivors include his loving wife, Dianna Lett Smith; children, Christine Vollo, Stephanie Smith, Shawn Smith, Shane Smith, Lori Kersh, and Laci Jackson; grandchildren, Victoria, Michelle, and Matthew Vollo, Katie Smith, Jackson, Hudson , and Cason Kersh, Averi and Abbi; brother, Dennis Wayne Smith (Bonita Stewart). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Chapel Services will be on Wednesday, February 1 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Lymphoma Society. Flowers may be sent to Yanda and Sons Funeral Home in Yukon, OK. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
