Donald George Sanderson, 74, of Mount Olive, passed away on February 11, 2021. Don was born in Flat Rock, Arkansas, and worked in construction much of his life. Most recently he was a crane operator for Brasfield & Gorrie. Those who worked with him knew him as “Bulldog” because of his strong work ethic and attention to detail. Don loved to work, loved his family, and always had a joke to bring a smile. Don was also a member of Fultondale First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patsy Sanderson; brothers Earl Sanderson (Carolyn) and William Sanderson (Joyce); sisters Betty Stone, Bonnie Evans (Ed), Mary Ruble (James); children Leslie Jones (Norman), Chris Sanderson (Faith), Dwayne Braswell (Kim); grandchildren Haley Passmore (Bret), Aspen Jones; and great grandchildren Greyson Passmore, Becket Passmore, and Anna Klaire Passmore.

He is preceded in death by his father Leonard Sanderson, his mother Gladys Parker Sanderson, and his brother-in-law, Bill Stone.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, February 21,2021 at Fultondale First Baptist Church. Visitation will take place at 2:00 p.m., with service at 3:00 p.m.
