Donald Russell

Donald R. Russell, age 73, of Trussville, passed away August 2, 2013. Mr. Russell was a Deputy District Attorney for 30 years and served 4 years in the US Air Force and was in the JAG for 4 years in the US Naval Reserve. He was a member of Trussville First United Methodist and was baptized in 2010. Mr. Russell was also President of the Trussville Little League for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his son Donald Ray "Donnie" Russell and brother Raymond Russell. Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug 6 at 11am at Trussville First United Methodist Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Monday at the Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Nancy Russell Retired RN., daughter Melissa Smith (Dave), grandchildren Matthew, Alex and Adam Smith, sister Becky Stringer (Dave), numerous nieces and nephews.
