Donald Ernest Cox

On October 28th, 2023, Donald Ernest Cox passed away peacefully at Colonel Robert Howard Veterans Home in Pell City Alabama. Donald was the father of two children, Donna Cox Moore and Donald E. Cox II. Don was born in Birmingham Alabama and graduated from Bay County High School in Panama City Florida. Donald was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving from 1945 to honorable discharge in 1948. He retired from US Steel.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Jo Cox; and his son, Donald E. Cox II.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Cox Moore (Harold Moore); daughter in law, Patricia Cox; grandchildren, Teri Williams (Randy), Christopher Cox (Michelle), Andrew Cox; four great grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Tyler Williams, Caroline Cox, and Charlotte Cox; and one great great grandchild, Madison Williams.

Pallbearers will be Harold Moore, Christopher Cox, Andrew Cox, Ryan Williams, and Bryan Beck.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home with a graveside service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
