Donald Brannon

Donald I. Brannon, age 92, of Birmingham, passed away December 28, 2015. He worked for Allied Chemical, Thompson Heyward Chemical Co., was a World War II veteran of the Army, participated in the Honor Flights, and the Birmingham Veterans Parade. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Homewood, Little League Coach and an avid Bridge player. Graveside services will be on Thursday, Dec 31, at 11am with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation from 10am until 11am Thursday. He is survived by his wife Jean Brannon, daughter Carol Lynne Dye (Tom), sons Donald R. Brannon and David F. Brannon (Phillip Nemer), brother Sidney E. Brannon, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, PO Box 2273, Birmingham, AL 35201. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
