Dewey Cole

Dewey Cecil Cole, Sr. was born June 10, 1915 in Etowah County, Alabama. He passed away on November 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Lois, his mother Maude, his father Oda, and his brother J.C. Cole. He is survived by his son Dewey Cecil Cole, Jr. (Diane); grandson, Brian; sister, Lorene Ruple of Rainbow City, Alabama; 6 nieces and 2 nephews. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church (Liberty Park) from 1957-2008. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army from 1941-45. He was a kind man of great faith and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed with Jobe Rose Jewelry from 1952-93. He will be greatly missed. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services beginning at 2PM. Burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
