Denise Dougherty

Denise Dougherty, age 56, of Pinson went to be with The Lord on the afternoon of August 29, 2024. Denise went peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was a former member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and then a member of Northpark Baptist Church. Denise is survived by her husband, Billy “Bubba” Dougherty of 33 years; her 3 children Courtney Parrish (Chris), Cody Dougherty (Kelli), and Ashley Dougherty (Jacob); parents Dennis and Mavis Bailey; her brother James Bailey; and her 3 grandchildren Liam, Madalyn, and Josie, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Denise is preceded in death by her grandparents Stanley and Dorothy Bailey, and Retha and Elizabeth Hood. 

Denise had a long standing career at UAB Hospital. She worked in the NICU for 36 years, retired and started working part-time. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping her grandbabies. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 12:00-2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville with funeral service to follow at 2:00 and burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens to follow. Bro. Jeff Parrish will be officiating.
