Delores Vega

Delores Callahan Vega of Birmingham, AL died on February 22, 2017. Delores was born on November 29, 1934 in Hohenwald, TN. Her parents were Alvin R. Callahan of Cookeville, TN and Mamie Callahan of Athens, AL. She is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Callahan of Birmingham, AL and her husband, Robert A. Vega of Miami, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Oona Vega McAnnally (Steve); grandchildren, Rachel W. Cromer (Bradley), Matthew Ward (Leah) and Zachary Ward all of Birmingham; great grandchildren, Stephen and Austin Comer of Clanton, AL and Domonick Ward of Clay, AL; sisters, Mary Whitten Smith (John) and Anne Hagwood (Tommy) of Leeds, AL. Delores was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, a 1958 graduate of Southeastern Bible College and 1954 graduate Ramsey High School. Graveside service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
