Debbie P Cushman

Debbie Phipps Cushman, 67, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2020 after battling complications from surgery. She is preceded in death by her son, the late,Jason Christopher Perkins, her husband, the late Tommy Cushman, her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Phipps, her brothers, the late Eddie Ray and Randall Phipps of Birmingham. She is survived by her sister, Linda Barnett(Mike), her step children and a host of nieces and nephews. Debbie was a member of North Valley Baptist Church. She loved Pastor Chris and Ms.Joans's bible study and the ladies. Debbie had a larger than life personality that brought joy and laughter to all she knew. She loved God's little creatures and was an supporter of animal cruelty causes. She had a beautiful voice and loved to paint. Debbie will be greatly missed but her family rejoices that she is now at peace with our loving Savior. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Birmingham Humane Society. Graveside services will be held a Jefferson Memorial Gardens- Trussville on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Dr. Chris Crain officiating.
