David "Brian" Thames

David "Brian" Thames, age 52, transitioned from this life on January 16, 2024.  He is survived by his father David Thames; Mother, Donna Thames; brother, Zachary Thames (Tatiana son James); aunts Renee Cashman, Michelle Gaughran (Jim), Theresa Grand, and Tonya Warren, cousins, Jason Griffin, Addie Griffin, Jospeh Griffin, Mack Gaughran, and Graham Gaughran (Molly). He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Sammy Cashman, Jack and Virginia Thames; step grandmother, Pauline Thames, and lifelong friend Tiffany Riggins.  

He graduated from John Carroll High School in 1990, attended UAB before getting his master plumber’s license. We will always remember his good heart for family, friends, and animals.   He had a passion for Baseball, Nascar, and especially Alabama football.

 The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a chapel service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville.  Burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery.
