David Lawrence Parkinson, age 85, of Trussville, passed away September 14, 2013. David served in the US Army from 1946 until 1954, worked as a manager in computers for Nassau Hospital from 1954-60, Pan Am Airlines from 1960-77, and Amerex from 1977-92. He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta Parkinson, sister Eleanor Parkinson, and nephew Billy Martin. Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, Sept 18, at 11am with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 10am until 11am Wednesday. He is survived by his son Hans Schollenberger and his friend Rosemarie Stuedlein, grandson Curt Schollenberger (Jennifer), great grandchildren Molly, Jake and Maggie, sister Goldie Paine (Ned), niece Gail LeMaster, nephew Buck Martin, nieces Terry Brenner and Marilyn Shockey. Memorials may be made to the R.C. Paine Fund at Amerex c/o Ed Shockey. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
