Hale, David Wayne, 50, born in Bessemer, Alabama, on September 24, 1964, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. He graduated in 1982 from McAdory High School. He resided in Pinson, Alabama with wife, Paula Hale of 26 years. David was a Fultondale Police Officer for the past 4 years. He retired from Birmingham Police Department after 20 years of service, where, he served as a K-9 officer, worked in the Tactical Unit, Motor Scout Unit, and Honor Guard. David was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his dad, Jimmy Hale; grandfather, Will Herring; and grandmother, Bonnie Herring. He is survived by his wife, Paula Hale; daughters, Amanda Howell (Matt), Casey Smith (Michael), Jennifer Bowden (former son-in-law Clint), son Robby Cline (Cori); 7 grandchildren, Cameron Bowden, Morgan Harris, Alyssa Gibbs, Makenzie Smith, Landon Smith, Bentley Howell, Maggie Cline; Mother, Jane Hale; Father, Bill Hartley (Gloria); sisters, Carrie Jones (Michael), Cassie Johnson; Brothers, Michael Hale (Christy), Bill Hartley Jr, and many nieces and nephews. His funeral services held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Fultondale First Baptist Church, visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with graveside service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama.
