David Clark Dodd, 57, of Trussville, AL, passed away Saturday October 24, 2020. David graduated from Vestavia High School and maintained the friendships he made there throughout his life. His work with Sidewinder Products and then Pipehorn allowed David to utilize his extraordinary work ethic to build a lasting legacy at each, and was a great source of pride and enjoyment to David. David’s first love was his family, for whom he would move heaven and earth. He was the son of Hube and Annette Dodd (deceased), and is survived by his wife Kim, his children Shanan Leith (Jesse), Tyler Dodd (Austen) and Tanner Dodd, his beloved grandchildren Sawyer and Salem, his brothers Mike and Hube Dodd, and untold members of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends for whom David was always the absolute bedrock of strength and happiness. His love for his children and family defined his life and will be his most lasting legacy. David Dodd was stronger, more giving, more charming, more lovable and more loved than any man has a right to be, and he carried that greatness with the humility and grace that almost made you forget what an absolute hero he was. David brought happiness into every room he entered and every life he touched, and he will be missed beyond word. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 30th at the Clearbranch United Methodist Church in Trussville. 8051 Glenn Road Trussville, AL 3517. Masks required. No limitation on guests. Graveside services to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens cemetery.
