David Bridges

David Richard Bridges, age 73, of Pinson, went to his heavenly home on October 17, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, Pop, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness and gentle heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.

David attended Banks High School and was a devoted employee for Fuller Supply Company for over 25 years. Throughout his life, his family was his pride and joy. He had a passion for fishing, was a true lover of all animals, and was an avid fan of Alabama football. David was known as "Coach Pop" at the ball field, never missing a sports event for his grandkids. Coaching and cheering for all the players he treated like his own brought him so much joy.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Claudia Bridges, and siblings, Bruce (Faye) Bridges, Barbra (Dwight) Gill, and Michael Bridges and multiple nieces and nephews. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Starlett; his sons, DJ Bridges (Tara) and Cody Bridges (Tiffany); his cherished grandchildren, Ellie Bridges, Brody Bridges, CJ Bridges and Dade Strickland; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tiffany and Earnest Goss; and his nieces, Morgan Starkey (Collin) and Taylor Goss.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life for David will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Faith Community Fellowship in Trussville, AL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am.
