David Bookout

DAVID J "Book", 49, of Chelsea, passed away on May 24, 2011 from a sudden illness. David was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Justice Bookout. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Julie Taylor Bookout; 2 wonderful daughters, the lights of his life: Lauren Nicole and Emily Michelle, his father: John J (Beulah) Bookout, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Linda Taylor, his brother: John Steven (Sandy) Bookout, his nephews: Steven Keith Bookout, John David Bookout, and his niece: Megan Bookout Webb. He is also survived by a wonderful extended family of aunts, uncles, multiple close cousins, many friends and his childhood bud: David Prater. David was born on November, 8, 1961 and graduated from Erwin High School in 1980. His love and care for his family and friends was unmatched. He was a much loved member of the Alabama Power Company family for 30 years, leaving behind many wonderful, supporting team and crew members. David had the gift of gab. He was a wonderful, animated story teller and always had one to share. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper. His infectious smile and the joy he brought to others will genuinely be missed by many. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, with internment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
