Darlene Shoemaker

Darlene Shoemaker, age 78, of Weaver - formerly from Tarrant, AL - went home to be with her Savior on September 27, 2011. She was a devoted member of Springdale Baptist Church. She had a gracious heart and was a kind, generous and giving person. She will always be remembered for her desire to help those in need. Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her husband, John Shoemaker, Jr., as well as her siblings, Earl, Birl, Ralph, Evelyn and Bill. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Shoemaker; sister, Charlsie Sloan; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her babies - her dogs - Chein, Toby and Kimmie. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, at 12:00PM, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time on Friday. Officiating the service will be Fred Donovan and Winston McNeil. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
