Dan R. Millican, of Trussville, passed away August 6, 2009. He was a retired from US Steel after 40 years of service. Then continued working as a consultant at North American Refractories for an additional 21 years until his illness. Mr. Millican served in the US Army in World War II as a Military Policeman and was honorably discharged. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Harlow Millican and second wife Sue Treadwell Millican. Chapel services will be Saturday Aug. 8 at 2pm with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before service time. He is survived by his daughter Lynese Millican of Atlanta, granddaughters Paige (Kevin) Sreenan of Jacksonville FL, Brandi (Jacky) Grissom of Buford GA, stepsons Victor Thomas Treadwell, Kenneth Treadwell (Deceased), William C. (Sonia) Treadwell all of Trussville, step grandchildren Kenneth Webb, Aric Treadwell, Beau Treadwell, Christi Williamson, Misty Hettich, Dawn Wilson, and Tara Treadwell, 9 great grandchildren.
