Curtis William Norris, born on December 1, 1952, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 71 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Curtis was a devoted family man who enjoyed following Alabama football, excelling in trivia, being kind to animals, and loving his dogs. He was a pharmacist who found joy in assisting customers, treating his pharmacy colleagues like family, and mentoring aspiring pharmacists.
He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School, he served in the Army National Guard for 5 years and later graduated from Samford University School of Pharmacy. As a pharmacist, Curtis was a respected mentor to numerous individuals in the field.
In his free time, Curtis enjoyed collecting coins, exploring computers, delving into history, and continuously expanding his knowledge. He was a man of many interests.
Curtis William Norris is survived by his wife, Dianne Walters Norris, his children Christopher William Norris (Shannon) and Ashley Brooke Norris Findley (Gage), his sister Mary Norris Johns, and his four grandchildren, Chad Jacob Norris, Olivia Marie Norris, Addilyn Brooke Findley, and Grayson Bennett Findley, as well as nieces and nephews and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel W. Norris and Annie Gay Fair Norris.
A funeral service to honor Curtis's life will be held May 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at Jefferson Memorial located at 1591 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, Alabama. Visitation with friends and family will be held at the same location from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on May 23, 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to ASPCA in memory of Curtis Norris. The family would like to thank the staff of The Brennity at Daphne for their kindness and care over the last several years.
